What is a hackathon?

A hackathon is an event where boys/girls, developers, hackers, makers, IoT experts, and technology enthusiasts come together in teams to respond to challenges promoted by sponsoring companies. With the help of experienced mentors, they develop prototypes for hardware and software projects.

Who is the event aimed at?

The event is aimed at developers, makers, engineers, web and mobile designers specializing in UX and UI, data scientists, startup founders, experts in digital marketing and communication, and, more generally, anyone interested in the topics addressed in the challenges that make up the hackathon.

Do I need to register to participate in the hackathon?

Absolutely yes. Participation is completely free. We invite you to carefully read the Regulations.

Do I need to participate with a pre-formed team?

As you prefer. If you already have a pre-formed team, you are welcome to join. If you are alone, you will be able to find someone to develop a project with directly on the day of the event. The spirit of the hackathon is also to collaborate with other participants, socialize, and make new friends.

When and where will it take place?

The Big Hack 2023 will take place on July 1st and 2nd in Naples, at the Apple Developer Academy, located at Corso Nicolangelo Protopisani 70. Please check the agenda in the Description section for further information!

Can I sleep there?

The event does not provide the possibility to stay and work/sleep on-site.

Where can I have lunch/breakfast?

You will find drinks and food available at all times, with options for celiac, vegetarian, and vegan diets. If you have specific dietary preferences, allergies, or similar, please make your own arrangements.
